Our single service member homecoming kit program is designed to provide a welcome home bag for our single service members who are returning from deployment. We aim to include basic toiletry necessities, some snacks, a thank you card from a community member and any other items we think our service members may enjoy. The items we put in the bags vary, as we rely primarily on in-kind donations to complete these kits and we make our best efforts to complete each batch of bags with the same/comparable items. The purpose of designating these homecoming kits to our single and geographically single service members is to hopefully bring a smile to those who may not have family in the area to greet them or go home to and to also ensure that those returning have some of the basic necessities they need to get them through the first 24-48 hours they are home (as they may be weary from their travels and/or unable to obtain basic necessity items immediately).
